This past May,
Major Lazer released the track "Get Free" featuring one of the singers from the
Dirty Projectors, Amber Coffman, who is well known for her collaboration with Rusko on the track "
Hold On." For Major Lazer, a group effort between producers
Diplo and
Switch, this track is a departure from their usual Dancehall, Moombahton, Reggae Hip Hop style. The track is hypnotizing, melodic, and peaceful, and the minimal, down-tempo production really highlights Coffman's incredible vocals. The track was released by Downtown Music LLC on the 3-track
Get Free EP. Major Lazer is currently on tour in Australia, and will be headed to Southeast Asia.
