Today's feature is an original track from Sydney native L D R U (a.k.a. Drew Carmody) featuring Gem June. Two weeks ago I featured this nineteen year old Australian producer for his chillout remix of Flume's "Sleepless feat. Jezzabell Doran." You can listen to all of L D R U's tunes right here.

New Video: Two Fingers (a.k.a. Amon Tobin) - Vengeance Rhthym

Brazilian ex-pat producer and artist Amon Tobin has just released the first video for the brand-new track "Vengeance Rhythm" from his most recent musical project Two Fingers

Two Fingers just released his debut full-length album Stunt Rhythms on Big Dada recordings on October 8th, and has had a slew of additional releases under the moniker including "Vengeance Rhythm," the most recent single, released on October 24th. An artist's blurb on Ninja Tunes website accompanying the releases states the following:

"Amon Tobin presents the next brutalist masterpiece wired up under his Two Fingers guise, "Vengeance Rhythm." A low-slung exercise in violence  brooding power and pure production smarts, in the words aof a recent Resident Adviser feature, it's "a little like dubstep built on an interplanetary scale."

The tune has been brought to life (and death) in a truly jaw-dropping video from stop-frame animator and director Chris Ullens. Ullens transforms a pile of toys, a love of super slo-mo explosions and a huge pile of mince into the funniest, most eye-popping and shocking exercise in animated ultra-violence since Oliver Postgate found out Bagpuss was cheating on him with Professor Yaffle."

Warning: This video is not for the feint of heart stuffed animal enthusiasts.

Secret Halloween Warehouse Party feat. RJD2, FreQ Nasty, Random Rab, Govinda and More (10/27)

Image Courtesy of Unicorn Meat NYC
With so much already going on in the weekends before and after Halloween this year, who would have thought there'd be any room for another big event? Well, when your event is a secret warehouse party in Brooklyn that features RDJ2, FreQ Nasty, Random Rab, David Starfire, Govinda, Dulce VitaSrikalogy and Dynasty Electric as well as fire dancers, artists and circus performers, you better make room!

Unicorn Meat NYC is hosting Illuminate at an as-of-yet unnamed warehouse in East Williamsburg (off the Grand stop) on October 27th. Having attended a similar event two years ago for Halloween I can say that this will certainly be something you don't want to miss, but definitely get there early, because the Fire Marshall will be eager to get there as well, and once they do they likely won't be letting anyone else in for some time.

Tickets are available here for $35, and the venue's locations will be released on the 27th to all ticket holders. If you're planning on going, buy your tickets in advance, because they won't be available at the door.

Over two years after the release of his eponymous debut LP, San Francisco based artist/producer ESKMO (aka Brendan Angelides) has just announced the release date of his forthcoming EP Language:

Eskmo "Language" EP Trailer from Elliott Sellers on Vimeo.

The 5-track EP will be Angelides' first release as ESKMO since the 2010 self-titled release on Ninja Tunes.  Since that time Angelides has certainly kept himself busy, devoting much of his time to his other project Welder (having released the album Florescence in September of 2011, and to touring internationally under both monikers.  The new EP will include the vocal-laden single "I Just Want," and is slated to be released on Angelides' own Ancestor label.

Be sure to check out DRTN for a review of this EP once it drops on October 30th.

New Release: Pretty Lights - So Bright (Free Download)

Image Courtesy of Pretty Lights Music
Before so much as an announcement date for the new album (already a year and a half in the making), the track "So Bright" was leaked. Derek Vincent Smith aka Pretty Lights did the only logical thing and released the track as well on his own website along with the following statement:

"A new track from my upcoming record has leaked out unintentionally. The song is called So Bright. I was not ready to put this track out but some how it's now posted on multiple sites as well as for sale on multiple sites. I made it available for free download just now on the PL site because it has never been my intention to strictly sell any tracks off my new record.

All the samples used in the track are from self composed one of a kind vinyl pressings. There is a short documentary to be released soon about the making of this upcoming PL album because it was a very unique and laborious process. I'm insanely excited to release the entire record but... I'd prefer to do it on my own terms:). Much love to all PL family, I hope you enjoy the track."

Obviously, I'm just another one of those sites sharing this, but since the cat's out of the bag, I couldn't help but share with you guys. Enjoy!

It's been a while since I've featured an Electro House track for the Song Of The Day, so I figured you guys deserved a treat. This banger comes straight to you from the Las Vegas-based artist and producer Revolvr.

Scooter & Lavelle Ft. Sue Cho - Beats Inside My Head (Revolvr VIP Remix)

Known for his hard-hitting remixes of Knife Party, Zedd and Fun and as the host of The Chamber Podcast, this track is no slump, and expresses exactly how I feel after a long day in the office. Enjoy!
